SUDOKU KILLER is a band led by double bass player Caterina Palazzi, founded in Rome in 2007. All musicians of the ensemble come from contemporary artistic backgrounds, ranging from jazz to rock to experimental music.

Palazzi was awarded as best Italian composer by Italian prestigious press referendum JAZZIT AWARD in 2010, the self-titled album Sudoku Killer won the award for second best Italian album. After that success, the band released the second album Infanticide (Auand Records, 2015), which features a dark, psychedelic and post rock-ish atmosphere. The record achieved critical acclaim and was named one of the Best Albums of 2015 by many, and Palazzi was pointed out as Best New Talent on TOP JAZZ 2015.
A third album titled Asperger was released in May 2018. Each of the five compositions is inspired by a villain from a Disney movie.

The group has played over 500 concerts all over Europe and Asia and shared the stage or played with Uzeda, ZU, Zeni Geva, Blurt, Gianluca Petrella, Stefano Bollani and many more.

“Heavy drama from bassist Caterina Palazzi’s quartet, Sudoku Killer. Strong infusions of avant-rock mainlined into their edgy form of modern jazz. But amongst the jarring dissonance and streaks of highly charged electricity are sweetly spoken melodies. It’s a serious kind of theater.” – Bird is the Worm

“[The album] shows four masters cultivating a dark but vital bonsai tree, patient and careful. It’s rare nowadays to craft a unique, recognizable sound within a well-established genre – something that Caterina Palazzi’s SudoKu KilleR achieve with apparent ease and by stepping outside of the genre’s boundaries.” – The Free Jazz Collective
